Just in time for Easter we decided to pin point SOME of our favorite horror homages found in The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina show. If you are a fan of both horror and the show you might have noticed some of these.

Both the Afterlife with Archie and Chilling adventures of Sabrina comics have homages in them because creator Roberto Aguirre Sacasa loves the genre and this carries over to the shows. Listed below are the episodes where you can find these homages and the movies they are referencing.

Hey girl...

We all know where this is from! Harvey is dressed like Johnny Depp’s character Glen from Nightmare on Elm St down to the headphones.

Dance till you die!

This is one of the many Suspiria homages in the show. Here Zelda opens a secret door and the wallpaper matches that of a mural in the Tanz dance academy.

Can’t I get your ghost Bob?

Here is one of the most obvious homages, the nod to 1978’s Halloween scene where Lynda was waiting for Bob to arrive with her beer. Little did she know the man standing in the doorway is actually Michael not her boyfriend.

What an excellent day for an exorcism!

Here the gang are about to exorcise Susie’s uncle Jesse but take a moment before they do the deed. Look familiar? It’s a nod to the Exorcist’s famous shot of Father Karras before he battles it out with the demon, Pazuzu.

All of them Witches!

The dress Sabrina wears which is reminiscent to Mia Farrow’s in Rosemary’s Baby.

Pod People

In the Mandrake episode we encounter an Invasion of the body snatchers nod when “pod people” are being made and Sabrina reacts to what she finds.

Hell on Earth

The show set design is incredible, the art work May have fought your eye as they belong to Mr. Clive Barker who let them collect as many of his own paintings for the show. It’s not the only Barker homage as there are many!

Let us know if we picked up on any of these, as mentioned before these were our favorites, there were so many it was difficult to choose!
